Marcus is a recognised authority in the world of bidding and tendering, with a career spanning over 30 years in senior commercial roles. Before founding Bid Perfect in 2006, he served as Commercial Director for Office Depot UK & Ireland, following senior leadership positions at Corporate Express (Director of Global Bids) and Xerox (Sales Director – Local Government). These roles gave him deep, first-hand experience of managing complex, high-value bids at both national and international levels.
Since launching Bid Perfect, Marcus has led the company’s growth from a boutique consultancy to one of the UK’s most respected providers of bid support and training services, now working with organisations across the UK, Europe, the US and beyond. Under his leadership, Bid Perfect has helped over 900 companies to significantly improve their bidding capability, win rates and internal processes.
Marcus continues to work directly with clients – advising on live bids, leading strategic workshops, and delivering high-impact training programmes. He is also a sought-after speaker on the art and science of bidding, known for his engaging and practical approach. His ambition is simple: to help businesses become more profitable by bidding smarter.
Neal is an accomplished sales and bid professional with over two decades of experience in winning complex contracts across a range of industries. His career spans sectors including IT, eLearning, office supplies, and business services, where he developed a clear understanding of how to translate commercial value into compelling written proposals.
Before joining Bid Perfect as a Director, Neal held senior roles at leading organisations such as Canon and Lyreco. His background in high-performance sales environments gives him a sharp understanding of what makes a bid persuasive, competitive, and commercially sound. He continues to bring this insight to his work with clients, combining practical bid expertise with a strategic sales mindset.
As one of Bid Perfect’s lead trainers, Neal has delivered hundreds of training sessions across the UK and internationally. He is known for his engaging, no-nonsense style and for helping individuals at all levels improve their confidence and performance when bidding. Neal works closely with both large corporates and SMEs, and has a strong track record of helping clients secure must-win bids through smart process, effective communication, and consistent messaging.
When he’s not immersed in bids or training, Neal is most likely outdoors with a good bottle of wine – sometimes at the same time.
Linda leads our talent acquisition services, working closely with clients to source the right people for critical bid and business development roles. With a career dedicated to specialist recruitment, she brings deep expertise in identifying and placing high-performing professionals across a wide range of industries – including defence, construction, rail, engineering, health, and social services.
Whether clients need ad hoc support, interim expertise, or permanent placements at senior level, Linda delivers with efficiency, discretion, and attention to detail. She takes the time to understand the brief, the culture, and the commercial drivers behind every role – ensuring each placement is the right fit, at the right cost, and delivered quickly.
Her extensive network and market knowledge make her a trusted advisor when forming or strengthening bid teams, and she regularly supports clients with the recruitment of bid managers, writers, directors, subject matter experts, and mobilisation specialists.
Linda combines a high-touch, personal approach with a sharp commercial instinct – and is known for making the process refreshingly straightforward.
Livvy leads the creative direction at Bid Perfect, helping bid teams enhance the visual quality, clarity, and consistency of their submissions. With a strong design background and over five years of direct experience in the bidding space, she plays a vital role in transforming complex content into clear, compelling, and compliant documents.
Livvy works closely with bid writers, SMEs, and commercial teams to develop branded Word and PowerPoint templates, layout systems, infographics, and presentation decks that elevate the look and feel of proposals. Her goal is always the same – to make your bid easier to read, evaluate, and ultimately, award.
Having worked with leading organisations such as Siemens Mobility, Babcock International, and Pfizer, Livvy brings both creative vision and a deep understanding of commercial pressure. She’s particularly skilled at navigating the visual demands of high-value public and private sector bids – ensuring submissions not only meet formatting requirements but stand out for the right reasons.
Approachable, collaborative, and unflappable under pressure, Livvy brings a positive, pragmatic energy to every project – and a sharp eye for the details that make a winning difference.
Freya is a skilled bid writer with a particular focus on social value and ethical impact. She has worked across a wide range of sectors, helping clients communicate their commitments to sustainability, inclusion, community benefit, and responsible business practice in a meaningful and evaluable way.
Her insight and writing ability have contributed to successful outcomes for both small, values-led organisations and larger corporates responding to increasingly demanding public sector requirements. Freya has a natural ability to translate policies, procedures, and intentions into persuasive narratives that resonate with evaluators.
In addition to her social value expertise, Freya supports Bid Perfect clients with writing, editing, policy development, and document preparation. She has written and reviewed a wide range of materials, from compliance documentation to newsletters, and has worked closely with clients to improve their internal bid content libraries.
Away from bids, Freya is a passionate environmentalist and an accomplished filmmaker – a creative background that brings both depth and originality to her work.
Caroline oversees all financial operations at Bid Perfect, managing everything from day-to-day transactions and credit control to financial planning and reporting. With a career spanning multiple sectors and continents, she brings a wealth of experience and a calm, methodical approach to keeping the business running smoothly behind the scenes.
She began her career at a global reinsurance company in London before moving into ledger management for a national car auction business. Her international experience includes working on the money markets for Westpac Bank in Sydney, and she has since managed finances across a diverse range of industries, including education, sport, film, and fashion.
Caroline ensures that Bid Perfect maintains financial clarity and control, allowing the wider team to focus on delivering for clients. Outside of work, she’s a keen traveller and a devoted follower of Formula 1.
